Terry Kafka is a Dallas advertising executive who owned Impact Outdoor Advertising Co., a 300-billboard plant he founded in 1982. He was one of Jeffrey Epstein's oldest friends, having grown up together in Brooklyn's Coney Island neighborhood where they attended Mark Twain Junior High School starting in 1958. After high school graduation in 1969, Kafka and Epstein backpacked through Europe together. In 2003, Kafka contributed a controversial two-page letter to Epstein's 50th birthday book at Ghislaine Maxwell's request. In 2007, he provided a character reference to Epstein's legal team. Kafka denies ever flying on Epstein's jet, visiting his island, or participating in any criminal activities.
Terry Kafka appears in the Epstein documents through House Oversight Committee email records and congressional releases related to the birthday book. The released documents include a class photo from Mark Twain Junior High School showing both Kafka and Epstein, as well as the controversial birthday book letter. Kafka has publicly stated he was merely a "bit player from childhood" and that his and Epstein's lives "don't intersect" in adulthood, going "in different cities and in different worlds."
