We are no longer requesting that the accounts remain open. Thank you very much for your assistance. In connection with our ongoing investigation, we are planning to subpoena records from other accounts related to Epstein. Would you be available for a call to discuss in the next few days? Please let us know if MI can begin to close out these accounts or if you'd like the bank to hold them open longer. Thanks. Subject: [EXTERNAL] RE: October 3, 2019 Grand Jury Subpoena to CONFIDENTIAL TREATMENT REQUESTED Thanks, Nic. We appreciates= working out this process to assist us as we continue our investigation. As discussed, attached please find a formal letter requesting that the accounts we have previously discussed be kept open for one month from today's date. We will also send a hard copy to your office. Best, Assistant United States Attorney Southern District of New York l St. Andrew's Plaza New York. Subject: RE: October 3, 2019 Grand Jury Subpoena to CONFIDENTIAL TREATMENT REQUESTED Hi Thanks for getting back to us on those two points. I also wanted to let you know our plan to close the other accounts. In order to accommodate the government's request, we'd propose the following process: • .= will send the account holders a letter informing them that the = is closing their accounts within 14 days. The letter will inform account holders that the= will wire the funds to an account of their designation and will contain specific instructions on how to provide the =with the wire instructions. The letter will also give customers a phone number to call with any questions. If .= doesn't hear from the customer after 5 business days from the date the letter is sent, the = will attempt to call the customer to request that they call the = about closing their account and providing wire instructions. • If at the end of the 14 days the = still hasn't heard from the customer or doesn't have wire instructions, the = will cut a check and mail it to the customer. • Before Elm sends any checks, we'll let you know which account holders we haven't heard from and for whom we don't have wire instructions. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this process. EFTA00100799
