Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser, already a Soviet client, reaffirmed his fealty to Moscow Centre by telling Nikolai Podgorny, the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet: "What is important for us is that we now recognize that our main enemy is the United States and that the only possible way of continuing our strug
