Watch: Barrett Anthony in the Epstein files
1:05Narrated from the AI-generated summary of the documents. Numbers reflect the archive at generation time.
Barrett Anthony, also written Anthony Barrett and tied to Ossa Properties, Inc., is a property or building-management contact. Jeffrey Epstein's assistant Lesley Groff emailed them repeatedly from 2011 to 2018 about apartment readiness, repairs and visits with Epstein. The emails are routine and logistical, and the documents show no wrongdoing by this person.
The entity appears in 80 documents, 79 of them emails. In 57 of those emails they are in the From/To/Cc header, so this is real two-way correspondence. Most of it is Lesley Groff writing to 'Ossa Properties Barrett Anthony' to arrange for them to see Epstein at his home, to get apartments (8A, 10B, 11B, 11J, 11P and others) cleaned and ready for guests, or to report maintenance problems. They are often copied alongside a building superintendent named Andrew and others, including Gregory Riches and Larry Visoski. The archive has no flight logs, legal filings, financial records or investigative records naming them.
Key Highlights
- •Lesley Groff, who writes for Epstein, repeatedly asks Anthony to come see Jeffrey or to call him. Examples include emails of June 2011, August and September 2013, June and September 2014, December 2014 and May 2015. The emails do not say what the meetings were about.
- •Many emails are about getting apartments ready or fixed. These include asking for apartment 11B to be 'finished and clean' by November 21, 2014, arrival times for guests in 8A and 11B, mailbox keys for 8A and 10B, an air-conditioning problem in 8A in 2015, 11J in June 2015, brown water in January 2013, and an exterminator visit in October 2018.
- •The correspondence runs from June 2011 to October 2018. In 2017 it covers small repairs, such as a towel bar in apartment 11P and two other issues Groff said needed fixing.
- •They are usually addressed at Ossa Properties, Inc. and are copied together with a superintendent and other staff. That points to a managing-agent role for residential units, not a social or business partnership with Epstein.
- •Some of the archive's connection data is misleading. The link to 'Prince Andrew' likely comes from emails to a building superintendent named Andrew, and the documents shown do not support any tie to the royal. A separate entity called 'Anthony' appears to be the same person under another name form.
- •No document in the files describes this person doing anything improper. The mentions are administrative.
