Dactylifera (edible date) palms by the pool area have been there for years and they handle salt wind quite well. We would suggest considering small Dactylifera palms to replace the Sylvester palms. Mother highly salt resistant palm is Seashore Palm, Allagoptera arenaria which grows on windy dunes in Brazil
