Who is Rebecca Rex in the Epstein files?

She was the assistant to Richard Saul Wurman, the founder of the TED conference and of the WWW Conference. In the files she exchanges emails with Jeffrey Epstein and his assistant Lesley Groff about scheduling, conference attendance, payment and hotel bookings. Her role appears to have been administrative and professional.

What was Rebecca Rex's connection to Jeffrey Epstein?

It ran through Wurman. She arranged calls and meetings between Wurman and Epstein and sent Epstein the program for the September 2012 WWW Conference. She also coordinated payment and rooms for Epstein's group. Her emails say Wurman would acknowledge Epstein publicly from the stage. The files do not show any personal relationship between her and Epstein.

Does Rebecca Rex appear in flight logs or legal documents?

No. Of the 90 documents mentioning her, 87 are emails, 2 are travel records (Epstein's September 2012 itineraries that refer to her conference itinerary) and 1 is another type of document. None of them is a court filing or a flight log.

Is there evidence of wrongdoing by Rebecca Rex?

No. The documents show routine assistant work: setting up calls, sending a program, handling an invoice and booking rooms. Appearing in these files does not imply wrongdoing, and the emails describe a professional relationship.

Narrated from the AI-generated summary of the documents. Numbers reflect the archive at generation time.

Rebecca Rex was the assistant to designer and conference founder Richard Saul Wurman (RSW). In the files she is a logistics contact who dealt with Jeffrey Epstein's office, mainly Epstein's assistant Lesley Groff, about Epstein's attendance at Wurman's September 2012 "WWW Conference" and about scheduling meetings with Wurman.

Rex appears almost entirely in direct email correspondence, much of it in 2011 and 2012. She signs her messages "Assistant to Richard Saul Wurman" and writes to Epstein and Groff, who often replied on his behalf. The threads cover meeting times, conference registration and payment, hotel reservations at the Mission Inn, the conference program, and books Wurman wanted to send. A few other records, such as itinerary documents, refer to "the itinerary from Rebecca Rex" for the conference. Nothing in the files shows her having any dealings with Epstein outside her work for Wurman.

Key Highlights

•Across 2011–2012, Rex corresponded directly with Epstein and Lesley Groff on behalf of Richard Saul Wurman. Of the 90 documents that mention her, 62 are emails with her in the From/To/Cc header.
•In September 2012 she sent Epstein the program for Wurman's WWW Conference, copying Wurman. In a separate message in the thread she wrote that Wurman would "happily acknowledge JE publicly from the stage" at the event.
•She handled conference logistics: an August 2012 email to Groff about a Mission Inn reservation ("JE has two ro[oms]…"), an August 30, 2012 email to Epstein headed "Names" mentioning that Wurman had received Epstein's check, and August 2012 exchanges with Groff about the invoice, the number of participants and where to send payment.
•Epstein's travel itineraries for September 2012 list the WWW Conference, with the note "Refer to Itinerary from Rebecca Rex". They show the conference falling between a gathering at the Mission Inn and his departure for New York on September 20.
•Earlier threads, in 2011 and in March and June 2012, show her arranging calls and meetings between Wurman and Epstein, including a breakfast on May 8, 2012. In March 2012 she wrote that Wurman was "extremely anxious to send some books" to two people.
•Groff wrote to Rex in June 2012 that she had sent Epstein another reminder to call Wurman. After the conference, on September 26, 2012, Groff wrote to Rex to ask a follow-up favor for Epstein.
•In the files her most frequent co-appearances are with Epstein, Wurman and Groff, and each of those appears in more than half of her documents. Woody Allen and Bobby Slayton also co-occur with her, probably because they appear in the same email threads or on conference guest lists.
