Who is Gregory Brown in the Epstein files?

He is an email correspondent of Jeffrey Epstein who, in 2011–2012, wrote to him about Libya's Transitional National Council (TNC). The topics included possible business and asset-recovery work, a Libyan delegation visiting New York, and a proposed summit venue in Paris. He later kept Epstein on his weekly reading-list mailing. The documents do not clearly establish his job title or employer, and this page does not identify him with any public figure of the same name.

What did Gregory Brown discuss with Epstein?

Mostly Libya after the fall of Gaddafi. In August 2011 Brown wrote that helping the TNC recover "lost, stolen and misappropriated" sovereign assets was among the easiest opportunities, and Epstein answered that if Brown got the assignment he could handle the rest. Later emails cover a Libyan delegation to New York (September 2011), news about Libyan sovereign wealth fund officials, and the August 2012 election of a new Libyan president.

What is the "Greg Brown's Weekend Reading" email?

It is a Sunday email, dated from about 2012 to 2017, sent to "undisclosed recipients" with Epstein's address in Bcc. It usually carries attachments and links on news, politics and miscellany. Because it was a mass mailing, it is weak evidence of a personal relationship. It shows only that Epstein was on Brown's list for years.

Do the files show wrongdoing by Gregory Brown?

No. The documents reviewed show business-oriented Libya correspondence and mass-distributed newsletters. They contain no allegations or flight, financial or legal records involving him. Appearing in Epstein's emails is not evidence of wrongdoing.

Narrated from the AI-generated summary of the documents. Numbers reflect the archive at generation time.

Gregory Brown is a frequent email correspondent of Jeffrey Epstein. In 2011–2012 he sent Epstein direct, substantive messages about Libya's post-Gaddafi Transitional National Council (TNC), including business opportunities and a planned delegation to New York. From 2012 to 2017 he also sent Epstein a weekly "Weekend Reading" newsletter.

All 149 documents are emails (146) or similar (3), and 31 have Brown in the From/To/Cc header. The most substantive are a cluster of 2011–2012 Libya emails sent to Epstein, some with a person named "F Noah" copied. Most of Brown's other appearances are his mass-distributed "Greg Brown's Weekend Reading and Other Things" newsletter, sent to undisclosed recipients with Epstein's Gmail address in Bcc. Those show Epstein was on a distribution list, not that the two discussed the content. The files include no flight logs, legal filings or financial records naming him.

Key Highlights

•In an August 26, 2011 email, Brown told Epstein that "some of the lowest hanging fruit in Libya is helping the TNC recapture the lost, stolen and misappropriated sove[reign]" assets. Epstein replied, "I do not need david, if you get the assignment I can handle the rest."
•In September 2011, Brown emailed Epstein directly under the subject "Libyan Delegation to come to NYC next week" and sent a follow-up reply. Another message that month, "Paris Summit on Libya," went out to undisclosed recipients with Epstein in Bcc.
•A late-August 2011 email chain, in which Brown relayed that "Fadi" said Paris was not the right venue for a meeting and mentioned a personal adviser to the President of a Libyan body, shows him passing logistics to Epstein.
•He sent several Libya updates: a Sept 2011 email subject "Recent Articles Relating to our efforts on behalf of the TNC", a WSJ item on ex-Gadhafi officials remaining at the Libyan sovereign wealth fund, and an August 2012 note headed "Dr Mohamed Al Magraiaf just elected President of Libya - Great News." He also forwarded a July 30, 2011 note from F Noah about Benghazi ("promised aid has not arrived").
•Brown's "Weekend Reading and Other Things" newsletter appears in dozens of emails from late 2012 through May 2017, always sent to undisclosed recipients with Epstein in Bcc.
•Other emails are incidental: a Google+ invitation (Feb 2012), a holiday card forward (Dec 2014), a shared-document notice (Dec 2013) and a joke email (Nov 2011).
•The archive's co-occurrence statistics link Brown to names such as Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Marc Rich. Those links most likely reflect topics in his newsletters, not personal dealings with those people.
