The files identify Mirna Alsharif as a CNN journalist who emailed the FBI’s New York Division on July 26, 2019, asking it to verify whether a reported 1996 complaint by an alleged Epstein victim existed. The nine records are email copies or versions of this inquiry; they do not establish a personal relationship between Alsharif and Epstein or Maxwell.
The substantive connection is journalistic: Alsharif contacted the FBI about a reported victim’s allegation and asked it to verify a document’s existence. All nine documents are emails, and one lists her in the sender header; there are no legal, government, financial, travel, investigation, medical, or calendar records naming her. The records appear to be repeated copies or versions of the same inquiry, rather than nine separate interactions.
Key Highlights
- •A July 26, 2019 email identifies Mirna Alsharif as contacting the FBI from CNN’s New York bureau.

- •All nine archive records are emails, with one direct sender-header appearance; the set appears to repeat the same inquiry.
