First name reference to multiple individuals in Epstein-related documents
"Bunkie" is not a person but prison slang for cellmate. All mentions refer to Nicholas Tartaglione, Epstein's cellmate at MCC who was accused by Epstein of attempting to kill him on July 23, 2019.
The term appears four times across FBI/DOJ documents describing the July 23, 2019 incident at Metropolitan Correctional Center where Epstein was found semiconscious with neck injuries. In each mention, correctional staff report Epstein claiming his "Bunkie" (cellmate) Nicholas Tartaglione tried to kill and extort him. Tartaglione, a former police officer facing quadruple murder charges, was later cleared of wrongdoing by internal investigation.
