"Lisa Elisa New Powell" appears to be a garbled version of Elisa New, the Harvard professor whose title is "Powell M. Cabot Professor of American Literature." She appears in 15 documents, mostly emails she signed "Lisa," and the files show her in warm, friendly contact with the people around Epstein.

The name comes from her email signature: "Lisa" above "Elisa New, Powell M. Cabot Professor of American Literature, Harvard." Several signed messages thank someone for making something happen ("you were so kind to make it happen"), and others offer "abundant gratitude," ask "What do you think of my chances?" and suggest a discussion "around your table with you and some friends." Four of the 15 documents are non-email items, including Harvard letterhead at 12 Quincy Street in Cambridge. The files do not record her in the From/To/Cc header of any email, and they include no flight logs, legal filings or financial records naming her. The documents shown do not say who the "you" is or what was arranged.

Key Highlights

• •The name is a merge of her first name (Lisa/Elisa), surname (New) and professorial title (Powell M. Cabot Professor). "Powell" is not a surname. All 15 documents are shared with the entity "Elisa New," which is probably the same person.
• •11 of the 15 documents are emails, many signed "Lisa," which suggests she wrote to or was quoted in messages in the archive. None has her in the From/To/Cc header.
• •Her most frequent co-appearances are Bill Clinton (14 documents) and Jeffrey Epstein (13), followed by Serena (7) and Harvard University (5). The documents shown do not say what the Clinton link involves.
• •Several nearly identical messages (HOUSE_OVERSIGHT_029566, 029569, 029575, 029590, 029597, 029600) repeat the line thanking someone for making something happen. This looks like one email thread appearing in several copies.
• •The files include no travel, legal or financial records tied to her. Her presence reflects professional and social correspondence, not any documented wrongdoing.
