Who is Steve Tisch in the Epstein files?

Steve Tisch is an American businessman, film producer and co-owner of the New York Giants. In the files he appears as someone who emailed Epstein directly, mostly in 2013, about meeting up, travel, sports events and personal banter. Epstein's calendar entries list him as a contact to call or meet.

What do the emails between Tisch and Epstein say?

They are short messages, mostly sent from his iPhone, about logistics: "9:30 is fine tomorrow", "I'm free", "Greece", "On my plane to LA". Tisch also writes about attending games and events. In May and June 2013 there are a few exchanges about women Epstein mentioned. Tisch's replies include "Is she fun?", "Working girl?" and "Do you have any pictures?". The files do not show what happened afterward.

Do the documents show Tisch did anything illegal?

No. The documents show friendly correspondence and calendar entries, not criminal allegations or legal proceedings against him. There are no flight logs, financial records or court filings naming him. Some of his replies in the June 2013 thread are crude, but they do not establish any wrongdoing on his part. Appearing in Epstein's files is not evidence of misconduct.

How long did Tisch stay in contact with Epstein?

Most of the emails are from April to September 2013. A separate exchange from August 2017 ("Hi Jeffrey, How are you?" and "Are you in the city?") shows he was still in touch years later. That is well after Epstein's 2008 conviction, though the files show only that the emails were sent. They do not say what the two men discussed or what the relationship was by then.

Why does Tisch have so many document mentions?

Many of the 163 documents are duplicate copies of the same few email threads, such as the June 3 and June 10, 2013 exchanges. They appear again in different formats and forwarded versions. Only 32 emails have him in the From/To/Cc header. Some others are Epstein calendar entries and reminders, and two are an event invitation that lists him among many hosts.

1:14

Narrated from the AI-generated summary of the documents. Numbers reflect the archive at generation time.

Steve Tisch, the film producer and New York Giants co-owner, appears in the files as a direct, informal correspondent of Jeffrey Epstein. The emails are mostly from 2013, with a short exchange in August 2017, and cover scheduling, social plans and some banter about women. The files show no flights, financial records or legal filings involving him.

Most of the 163 documents are emails, and 32 have Tisch in the From/To/Cc header. Nearly all of those are short replies sent from his phone to Epstein's [email protected] account, mainly from April to September 2013, plus an August 2017 exchange. Epstein's schedule entries for 2013 also list Tisch: an 8:30am appointment on April 4, call reminders on May 1 and May 5, and a note on June 4 that he "might come over". Many of the 163 documents are the same threads in duplicate. The two HOUSE_OVERSIGHT entries are an invitation listing Tisch among many named hosts and are not evidence of a personal link.

Key Highlights

•Direct, informal email exchanges with Epstein run from April to September 2013. They cover meeting times ("9:30 is fine tomorrow", "I have a 5:00 meeting... I'm free"), where Tisch is travelling ("On my plane to LA", "I will be in ny on Thursday until Sunday") and tickets or events ("Pick one you want to go to", "This game is in MN on Monday Oct 21").
•In May 2013 Tisch replied "Is she fun?" to an Epstein message. In June 2013 Epstein forwarded him a message about a woman, and Tisch replied "Who is", "Do you have any pictures?", "Yikes!!!" and "Working girl?". Epstein answered "tahitian speaks mostly french, exotic". The documents do not show who the woman was or whether anything came of the exchange.
•On June 3, 2013 Epstein asked Tisch "tonite?" and Tisch replied "got plans". This thread was copied into many documents, which accounts for part of the high document count.
•Epstein's calendar lists Tisch among his contacts. It shows an 8:30am appointment with him on April 4, 2013 and "Call Reid Weingarten and Steve Tisch" reminders on May 1 and May 5, 2013. A June 4, 2013 entry says "Steve Tisch might come over", and the same page lists an appointment with Ehud Barak and one with Mort Zuckerman.
•In an August 2017 email, Tisch wrote to Epstein "Hi Jeffrey, How are you?", mentioned a lunch with Todd Meister, and later asked "Are you in the city?". This is the latest sign of contact in the files.
•Lesley Groff, Epstein's assistant, emailed Tisch in May 2013 ("Ok, I will let Jeffrey know! hopefully next time..."). This is why she is his second-largest connection after Epstein.
•The files contain nothing that accuses Tisch of wrongdoing. They show a friendly, ongoing social and scheduling relationship, with one exchange in which he joked about a woman Epstein had mentioned.
