Who is Matthew i in the Epstein files?

The strongest identifiable match is Matthew Mosk, an ABC News producer who contacted Epstein’s lawyer Martin Weinberg in January 2016 seeking an off-the-record meeting about Epstein and the presidential candidates. The files here do not establish that the meeting took place.

Did Matthew Mosk have a personal relationship with Jeffrey Epstein?

The emails show a reporter’s meeting request forwarded to Epstein. They do not establish a personal relationship or show that Mosk met Epstein.

Why do the files mention Bill Clinton and Donald Trump?

Mosk’s email said ABC News was researching the presidential candidates and asked Weinberg about Epstein’s dealings and interactions with Clinton and Trump. That is the stated purpose of the inquiry, not evidence by itself of wrongdoing by either man.

1:02

Narrated from the AI-generated summary of the documents. Numbers reflect the archive at generation time.

The clearest connection in the files is to ABC News producer Matthew Mosk: in January 2016, he asked Epstein’s lawyer Martin Weinberg for an off-the-record meeting about Epstein’s dealings with Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. The records provided do not establish that the meeting happened, and they do not support identifying Mosk as a UK particle physicist.

Three emails show Mosk’s meeting request in correspondence forwarded to Epstein; they establish a journalistic inquiry, not a personal relationship or a completed meeting. The archive also contains one investment record and other incidental references to people named Matthew, so not every mention can confidently be attributed to Mosk. No automated or newsletter emails are identified in the files described here.

Key Highlights

•On January 20, 2016, ABC News producer Matthew Mosk asked Martin Weinberg for an off-the-record meeting to discuss Epstein’s connections to Clinton and Trump.
•Weinberg forwarded the request to Epstein; the emails do not show whether Mosk and Weinberg met.
•The archive’s other Matthew references include unrelated names and contexts, making the particle-physicist background difficult to match to these records.
