I wanted to let you know that a few items have come up that impact on the timing of my visit to Seattle. I am the featured speaker at the luncheon during the ARVO forum on Friday May3d at noon where I will be speaking on Innovation from Academia, Crossing the Other Chasm. Later in the afternoon I am on a panel at 3 PM and so I think that timing will make it difficult for me to come to the Gates Foundation that day. Is there a chance that we could do this either Thursday the 2d , or Monday or Tuesday instead. I have to fly out on Friday afternoon for a memorial service Friday evening and will be back on Sunday morning. I do hope we have the chance to get together. In the meantime let me know if you would like to come to the luncheon or any of the meetings on Friday and I can arrange it. They deal with the interface between vision research and industry.
