Also Just an FYI I logged in the dragonwave to gather some information and I noticed that both Ethernet ports (data and management) on the IS side are plugged in to the switch creating a network loop. What I did was shutdown the management port on outside. This will help some but will be fixed tomorrow. I'll bring up the router and install the 2 switches to be able to monitor the dragonwave and I'll leave the deep inspection and testing for the second trip once VINGN is up. There will be a downtime of between 1 to 2 hours as I make the changes. If this is acceptable I'm a GO for tomorrow. What I'll need after the switch Installation is the logins for the dragonwave so once this Is done I can start with the venfication of the link (no changes will be made). On the second trip I'll go to the island with Alyster takedown the dragonwave to do the following: EFTA00631114
• Test VINGN circuit • Test VINGN (allover • Venfy all grounding • Venfy all connectors weatherproofing • Venfy Lightning arrestors • Check all cables and replace cables if needed • Upgrade firmware on DW if needed • Make configuration changes to the DW if needed Let me know if this is acceptable. Test it and switch the island over this new connection (primary) • Once this is done I can takedown the Dragonwave connection to add some switches to be able to monitor the link and take over maintenance. Once this is complete • Reconnect the Dragonwave as secondary link • Test (allover to Secondary (OW). The above plan has a 1-2 min downtime. If Mal is not ready I can still do the install but I need to install the switches needed to monitor the dragonwave there will be a downtime of a few hours as I do the swap but no testing will be done.
