Diane, I will be around most of the day until 5:30PM. As far as the hotel I am going to put them in the 50 at 50 Bowery it is walking distance away from the USAO. We have a contract with them to give us Government rate. I know Gloria does not pay Government rate and I have to stay within the guidelines. As far as flights every State has a Government carrier. I have to use the Government carrier. I think one witness is coming from Arizona the Government carrier is American. So if she needs to be here on 7/31 she can leave anytime on 7/30 and I will get her out on 7/31 in the evening. They should come in and leave as soon as they are done. Per diem is paid to them after they return. They will do the paperwork in the office. The per diem is $76 for two days and they will get a witness fee of $40 per day. If they take Uber or a cab to the airport they should keep a receipt and they will be reimbursed. A car service will pick them up at the airport and will take them directly to the hotel. Upon arriving they will check in and call you. I can also see if we can help you get a good rate (depending on your budget) at the Lotte NY Palace where Gloria stays regularly. We are hoping that your office will arrange for two nights of hotel for each of them, please. It's a long flight and I know that the process is often somewhat difficult and unnerving for our clients so this would be greatly appreciated to help them be rested and to help recoup after the interviews.
