STANFORD UNIVERSITY November 25, 2013 Dear Friends, We invite you to join us for an intimate conversation between several of the world's deepest thinkers in fundamental physics. The nominees and winner of the 2014 Fundamental Physics Prize will be talking before a select, non-specialist audience, about the future of physics: the challenges and possibilities awaiting the field in the decades to come. All five panelists have made major contributions to human knowledge. John Schwarz and Michael Green developed the first consistent theory of quantum gravity. Andrew Strominger and Cumrun Vaf a discovered startling dualities uniting rival pictures of reality. And Joseph Polchinski has re-imagined the deep structure of the cosmos with a series of elegant but radical ideas. This provocative and illuminating discussion will take place from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 13, at Stanford University, in the Seawell Boardroom, Bass Building, Graduate School of Business. We are delighted to invite you to take part in an exceptional event, exploring the nature of reality and the future of knowledge. Please RSVP to mluudatanford.edu. ly, 1.
