In summary, m= STT doctor found some atypical cells in my cervix. As a precaution she ad=ised that a cone biopsy be done for further testing. The procedure is some=hat risky, so my doctor advised that it should be performed by a specialis= - a gynecologic oncologist. There are none on St. Thomas unfortunately, s= I contacted my sister who is a surgeon at Henry Ford, and she referred me=to one of her colleagues. I had my consulta=ion yesterday, which went very well. Dr. Rasool is waiting for the p=thologist to review and confirm that my slides and their slides show the s=me results and that the cone biopsy is the next logical step. So, everyone says the outpatient surgery should be next week, =nd depending on what they discover, and both doctors advise, I hope to be =ome very shortly after that.
