To: From: Edward Kessler Sent: Tue 10/12/2004 9:33:07 AM Subject: Celebration Dinner for your Mother Dear Gilane (may we please use first names), Your mother may have mentioned to you that the Cambridge Centre for the study of Jewish-Christian Relations (CJCR) is honouring her on 31st January for an outstanding contribution to fostering better relations between Christianity and Judaism. The dinner will be held on the evening of Monday 31st January at the Middle Temple in London and is being hosted by Lord Harry Woolf, The Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales. I would like to discuss this with you and wonder whether we fix a time to meet. I understand you travel to the UK regularly and I'm happy to come to London regularly or alternatively, you are welcome to come to Cambridge. Perhaps you could suggest some dates? I have known Betty for 10 years and she has supported my work and the work of the Cambridge Centre since its inception. CJCR is a forum for teaching, dialogue and research and has the support of the principle leaders of the Christian and Jewish communities in the UK, including the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Archbishop of Westminister and the Chief Rabbi.
