Internal Bureau of Prisons memo dated July 20, 2019, documenting special meal handling procedures for Jeffrey Epstein during attorney conferences at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.
This memorandum from Cook Supervisor B. Boney to Food Service Administrator Rocco Lupo documents a phone call from the Lieutenant's Office on July 20, 2019, requesting that Epstein's meals be delivered to the attorney conference room rather than his cell in the 9-South unit. The memo clarifies that Epstein was on a 'common fare' diet (a religiously-accommodated meal program in federal prisons, typically Kosher or Halal) rather than the regular meal tray initially requested. This document provides evidence of the special accommodations and near-daily attorney visits Epstein received during his detention, and dates from just three days before the July 23 incident where he was found unconscious in his cell.
