Email chain from August 10, 2019, the day after Jeffrey Epstein's death, showing attorney Bruce Barket instructing prison staff not to interview his client without permission.
This is an email exchange between Bruce Barket (attorney at Barket Epstein Kearon Aldea & LoTurco) and staff at Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York on August 10, 2019. The emails show Barket asserting attorney-client privilege to prevent investigators from interviewing his client about an incident at MCC - presumably Epstein's death the previous day. The prison was on lockdown due to "the incident that is all over the press." A staff attorney confirms that the investigation concluded with no charges being filed.
