This is an email chain from October 2021 between the Sacramento County Clerk/Recorder's office and attorneys regarding a federal court subpoena for vital records related to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
This document is administrative correspondence about complying with a federal court subpoena. The Sacramento County Clerk/Recorder's office discusses procedural requirements for producing records requested by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The email chain addresses whether in-person testimony is required and confirms that records related to a federal criminal case will be issued without fee. While Prince Andrew is mentioned in the entity list, he does not appear in the visible document content—this is likely a transactional email that was collected as part of a broader document production request.

In the subpoena, it states the Sacramento County Clerk/Recorder is to appear in person to testify, and produce the requested record, at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Is this a requirement, or will presentation of the record to your office suffice? Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Andrew B.
