Internal SDNY email chain from August 13, 2019, coordinating victim interviews for the active grand jury investigation against Jeffrey Epstein, sent just days before his death on August 10, 2019.
This document reveals behind-the-scenes coordination between federal prosecutors and The Bloom Firm attorneys representing Epstein victims. The emails show that SDNY was actively bringing victims and witnesses before a grand jury, with prosecutors confirming they had an 'active grand jury investigation' including prospective testimony. The Bloom Firm was arranging travel and accommodations for victim-clients to meet with prosecutors in New York, and also requesting information about counseling resources for survivors. This email chain provides a rare glimpse into the prosecutorial process and victim coordination that was underway just before Epstein's death abruptly ended the criminal case.

Some individuals will be subject to grand jury subpoenas, and others may be meeting with us in lieu of testifying before the grand jury. We can advise if we believe we need to use USAO funds, or if other issues arise, but we can confirm we do still have an active grand jury investigation (including prospective grand jury testimony). thanks very much, From: Sent: Tuesday, August 13, 2019 17:38 To: Subject: FW: CONFIDENTIAL: Coordinating Victim Interviews Against Jeffrey Epstein, 19 Cr. 490 (RMB) What case am I using to bring witnesses into SDNY. I can only bring people in for GJ, pretrial, trial and sometimes pre GJ. For the last three witnesses it was pre-trial. But that was when we had an open indictment. If you are interviewing more people in an investigation you are going to have to travel to them. I am not giving anyone a hard time I just need to follow the rules. Please let me know.
