I have some good news to report :) Porter is officially employed! He signed a contract with Booz Allen this week. He was hired through their general consulting pool and will initially be placed on a DOD contract at the Pentagon, with the goal of moving over to the environment and energy team within 6 months. On somewhat related note, I'm looking into a company named Envion right now that has developed a proprietary technology to convert plastics to diesel, petrol, jet fuel and gasoline. They're currently working with Morgan Stanley's Global Renewable Energies team to obtain a second round of financing from private investors (50-60mill) with plans to go public next fall. What's unique about their technology is that they can process ALL mixed plastics, as opposed to just specific types. They also appear to be one of the few technologies out there with the potential to replace traditional fuel sources as opposed to just grid electricity (solar/wind).
