From: Sent: Thursday, December 23, 2010 6:31 PM To: Je vacation; Brice Gordon; Gary Kearney Subject: Hell pad LSJ Jeffrey and Brice, Is it possible to light up areas on the island more than we currently are doing. 2 miles out, you cannot see any lights on island, even flag polls seam weak in power,. The island during night approach is still to dark, The light for the pond on east side of island by the beach are not powerful enough to see during final approach to give better depth perception. I believe the construction light polls that we have used in the past are the best and strongest. Having the beach well lighted is very important, and the hill above the pond, since that is on final approach is helpful during night ops. Also rabbit lead in approach lights seam weak, compared to the way they use to be. Brice and I have walked these areas last month and decided to try the current pond lights, and they are just not strong enough to see from a distance when flying.
