(AP) — Law- rence Taylor, a Hall of Fame Giants linebacker, was sentenced Tuesday to six years of probation for an en- counter with an underage girl last year. Taylor pleaded guilty in January to sexual miscon- duct and having sex with a 16- year-old he thought was a prostitute. He must register as a sex offender, but a hearing on the terms was delayed until Apri112. The girl, now 17, appeared at court with a lawyer and told reporters she thought Taylor, 52, should have gone to jail. She denied being a prostitute and said a man she called Rasheed forced her to go to Taylor's hotel room in Montebello, N.Y., on May 6 by punching her in the face. The girl, who has been identified in court only as C.F., said she thought Taylor could see how young she was and that she had been beat- en. She added, "I did what he told me to do because I was afraid what would happen if I didn't" The other man has been identi- fied in a federal prosecution in Man- hattan as Rashes Davis, who is ac- cused of acting as a pimp and of as- saulting her and taking her to Tay- lor's room. Prosecutors said Taylor had helped them in that case. Taylor was arrested at the hotel after the girl's uncle contacts the police. Taylor was charged with third-degree rape because she was under age. When he pleaded guilty to the lesser charges, Taylor admitted hav- ing intercourse with the girl. He said that she told him that she was 19, but that he now knew that she was 16 and legally incapable of consent. He said he paid her 6300. Lawrence Taylor EFTA_R1_00019519 EFTA01735567
