In attendance were 9 victims, 4 support persons and 6 attorneys. Supporting the briefing was 3 VSs, 1 VSC, 2 VSD HQ staff, 1 SA, 1 TFO, 1 therapist, and 2 ODAG staff. s made general, welcoming remarks and provided an agenda for the briefing. PM Allen also welcomed the group, explained contents of the individualized resource packets and that there were VSPs available for support. • The meeting lasted 3.5 hours which included a general timeline of events and an explanation of OPR's findings. Dozens of questions were asked by both attorneys and victims. There were general feelings of understandable frustration on the part of both attorneys and victims. One of the overarching themes ADAG Harris emphasized was that DOJ is committed to doing better. At the conclusion of the briefing, each victim and attorney received the Executive Summary. Lastly, there was some media attention regarding the briefing. ABC News arrived at the Miami FO and appropriate notifications were made to Miami EM.
