During American Heart Month, AFHU reflects upon cardiological breakthroughs and the heart of its mission. Just in the past year, Hebrew University faculty and students identified new ways to predict heart disease, discovered how a specific protein can lead to heart failure and shown how teen BMI can predict the risk of cardiovascular disease in adulthood. Thanks to donors like you we are able to continue this groundbreaking medical research. AFHU also celebrates Hebrew University alumni who champion heart health, such as Dr. Yitschak Biton, an award•winning cardiologist. Dr. Biton received his MD at HU as the recipient of an ISEF Foundation International Fellowship and is now an ISEF postdoctoral EFTA00629898
