It deals at a high level with a range of challenges facing companies, not necessarily of a conventional or familiar kind, and helps CEOs find solutions which may involve collaboration and links with other companies. The highly specialised and profitable consultancy was created by Alain Minc who is a singular member of the French establishment as those who know him will testify to. A former CEO himself, he is exceptionally well integrated to the French 'system' as well as having reach in Spain, Italy and Belgium. He is also a prolific and best selling author on economic and political matters and chairman of Le Monde newspapers. I will act as an adviser to AM Conseil on general matters as well specific projects relating to corporate strategy, change management and internal and external communication. This is a skill set I built up before entering Parliament (where I will be remaining, incidentally) through the part I played in the transformation of the Labour Party and when I worked for Dennis Stevenson's SRU consultancy.
