COVID-19 update Saturday, April 18, 2020 The Virgin Islands Daily News is making our COVID-19 coverage free to all readers during this international crisis. The British Virgin Islands has recorded its first COVID-19 death. The victim was the first woman, and the fourth confirmed-positive case that BVI officials announced late Thursday night during a hearing of the House of Assembly. Her case is believed to be the first non-travel related transmission in the territory.
